ok inspected drop links and the rubbers on both are split.Ford prices arent bad so will go with them.

Now from memory on doing the Mondeo they were a pig to do in my driveway.

Any helps tips on doing these i.e wheel on or off.Wheel off but siiting on lowest point of axel stand etc etc.

I changed mine without even jacking the car. But I can see that taking the wheel off may make it easier. However you will probably want an extension bar to crack the nuts so make sure your jack is very secure.

You might also need a M18 socket/ring spanner not supplied with some socket sets as standard....they normally supply 15,17,19 :).

Dead easy to do once the nuts are undone, full lock 1 way and if I remember correctly I jacked the car up and then lowered the car back down with a block under the disk, which compresses the suspension and makes removing the links easier. Note don't lower the car onto the disk completly, just enough to make the links go slack and easy to remove, refitting same as removal.

I only struggled as didn't have a M18 socket :).

I've since purchased an M18 socket after doing the one on mine. If you plan to do the Roll bar bush at the same time (a very easy job, and makes a big difference) you'll need an M16 too.

Dont forget the drop link nuts need doing up to 100Nm - so might be a good idea to do spray the ones on there with easing-fluid the night before. Also jack it up nice and high allowing space to swing your your torque wrench in!

If all goes well you should be done in under 45mins.
